We offer design and project management services that aim to meet and exceed our client expectations. We service both public and private sector clients.
UMZ Consulting was founded in 2018 by a professional civil engineer who is the current managing director driving the organisations strategy of providing the best technical solutions to our clients. The company currently employs a team of over 20 experienced & talented engineering professionals who are able to deliver high quality work and provide the necessary support to our clients.

Meet Our Founder / Managing Director
UMZ Consulting is under the leadership of its founder and managing director, Mxolisi Khaya Ntshangase.
Mxolisi is Professional Civil Engineer (Structural), has over 15 years of experience in the consulting engineering industry and holds an MBA from GIBS.
His experience includes project & construction management, conducting feasibility studies, and designing a variety of civil engineering infrastructure projects, including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and building structures. Furthermore, his experience includes asset management which incorporates infrastructure maintenance, conditional assessment of infrastructure, routine maintenance and rehabilitation of drainage structures, and slope stability on embankments and cuttings.
He is also a certified bridge inspector by the COTO, and has conducted conditional assessments of existing infrastructure assets (bridges and culverts) for major clients in KwaZulu-Natal, Free State and the Eastern Cape Provinces. Recently, his responsibilities have expanded to include providing technical and programme management support to government institutions where he is assisting with the successful implementation and management of infrastructure projects.
